Unified accounting, investment tracking, entity management, and reporting—purpose-built for family offices.
Asseta is pleased to welcome Paul McKibbin as an Advisor. Paul has spent his career designing the technology, reporting, and risk systems that family offices run on.
Today, we are proud to announce that Paul McKibbin has joined Asseta as an Advisor. Paul is a specialist in the information architecture of family offices. He has selected, designed, and implemented risk management, reporting, and accounting infrastructures for some of the world's most sophisticated family offices.
Few people understand the inner workings of a family office the way Paul does. He has advised families on business and operational risk, led re-engineering of family office systems, and guided the selection of the technology that supports them. He is also a regular speaker on family office technology topics.
We build software for family offices. Paul has spent decades deciding what that software needs to do. That combination is why we are so glad to have him with us.
“It's an honor and pleasure to be advising the Asseta team in their mission of serving family offices and their unique needs.”
Paul McKibbin, Advisor, Asseta
Paul's background
Paul's career spans both sides of the family office world. He has worked as a consultant who advises families, and as a founder who builds the platforms they use.
Paul is the former Managing Director and Americas leader of EY Private Family Office Advisory Services. In that role he supported family offices on business and operational risk assessment, and on re-engineering family office systems and technology.
Before EY, Paul was a managing partner at Family Office Metrics, a globally recognized leader in management consulting for single family offices. Earlier, he founded and led Private Family Networks, a provider of secure virtual family office platforms for global single family offices.
Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Organizational Behavior, both from the University of Pennsylvania.
Where Paul will focus
Paul helps families protect their legacy as goals, technology, and risks change. As an Advisor, he will bring that perspective to the Asseta team as we build for family offices. His guidance will shape how we understand the needs of the families and advisors we serve.
Why this matters to our clients
Family offices manage complex information across many people, entities, and assets. Reporting, accounting, and risk all depend on how that information is organized. Paul has spent years designing the systems that organize it.
His guidance helps us build software that fits how family offices work. It also helps us understand the questions families and their advisors ask before they adopt a new system. That knowledge shapes our product and the way we serve our clients.
Beyond the family office
In 2000, Paul's work with families led him to found Shaking the Tree Foundation. The foundation is an independent educational not-for-profit that uses theater and interactive audience forums to teach family dynamics and to promote philanthropy. Paul has participated in more than 45 productions and coauthored a dozen of the foundation's Living Case Studies.
This work reflects a belief we share at Asseta. Technology serves the family, and the family's goals come first.
Why this sets Asseta apart
Many software companies build for family offices from the outside. We want to build from the inside, with people who have sat across the table from families and designed the systems they rely on. Paul brings that perspective to our team.
Our commitment going forward
We are glad to have Paul with us, and we thank him for his trust in Asseta. We look forward to working with him as we grow.
Our goal has not changed. We want to give family offices software that is accurate, clear, and built for the way they work. Paul's guidance brings us closer to that goal.
Welcome to Asseta, Paul.
